The vinyl version of my first album, 8TH WINDOW, features all original music and compositions. The extended compact disc counterpart to 8TH WINDOW includes three arrangements of popular musical standards, one of which, “Manic Depression”, was inducted into the Jimi Hendrix Museum. This arrangement features the natural overtone series created on saxophone through embouchure and breath alone, creating a true distortion of sound and chord which resembles the modern distortion of guitar pedals. Hendrix pioneered this style and technique before modern effects pedals, which now allow a user to recreate these sounds, without having any knowledge of the natural overtone series in which all music notes and scales are derived.
